Clause 6.
Explain at least two of the following, and provide photographs
as evidence of your understanding:

c. depth of field

f. the use of a remote control or self-time function

I don't have
a lens hood or any filters for my camera so I can't do those sections,
and if my camera has a remote-control system, I haven't found
it yet! I do understand the concept of depth of field (the range
of distance as measured along the lens axis for which the subject
is rendered acceptably sharp in the photographic image) but as
I usually use my camera set on "auto" controlling it
doesn't come into play (see this page for some photos I took on
manual settings - increasing aperture and shutter speed.) I do,
however, know how to "fake" depth of field effects with
digital software :-) I have, therefore, elected to do sections
d and e.
For an excellent summary of the way depth of field relates to
digital cameras, visit

do all the sections in this clause, and also that some of the examples
cover more than one section! |
